We don?t know if you?ve already seen Miley Cyrus? new music video yet (if not, please see here) but we suppose it?s what you might call a quite ?sexy? affair in that the teen singer spends a lot of time in the video rolling around in skimpy outfits making come-hither eyes at the camera.
Seeing as she?s only 17 we suppose the video was bound to wind up a few reactionaries in the US ? and true to form just a few days after the video was released the Parents Television Council have stepped forward to give Miley a disapproving frowny face for being far too sexy. A spokesperson for the fusty bunch said:
"It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one. It sends messages to her fanbase that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fanbase so rapidly."
Perhaps Miley is a little young for these shenanigans, but as far as we can tell the only real crime she's committed is to make a song which looks and sounds as though it was created, written and produced in 1997 ? in Germany (as we said before, if you haven?t already heard it ? please see here).
Still, it doesn?t look as though Miley could give a damn what anyone else thinks ? yesterday we caught up with her having a relaxed lunch with her pal in LA (that?s a peacock feather earring in her hair by the way in case you?re wondering).
